Kolby is in love with baseball! And now he is finally old enough to be on the parks & rec league and play t-ball. He feels so special and loves going to practice every Monday night and to games on Saturday. His team is the Rangers and he and Eliza think they are the Power Rangers. So at his games, Eliza yells out, "Go Power Rangers." It's very cute. When he first got his uniform, he wanted to wear it everyday, everywhere. Kind of like those camo rain boots i blogged about before. Now he is to the point where he treats his uniform with respect and saves it for game day. He is doing great. He usually plays first base, which means he just stands there at first base and pretends that he is going to catch the ball when and if someone throws it to him. If he's not at first base then he is fielding somewhere...usually running to the balls in the outfield. He is so funny because he thinks his job is done when he runs and puts the ball in his glove. He runs so fast to retrieve it and then just turns around and starts walking back to the infield, very proud of himself, usually ignoring everyone yelling at him to throw the ball in. It's pretty funny. Of course his specialty is offense. Lots of homeruns for this kid, if they were even allowed in this league. He definitely knows how to throw his weight into his swing. We have so much fun watching him because he loves it so much. And the sports with our kids era of our lives has just begun...
